Our Classes . . .
3's Classes (2 days, 3 days, 4 days or 5 days)
Who, what, where, and why? These are the questions our youngest children are asking about their world. Our curriculum is designed to benefit the “whole child”- intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally. We believe children learn best through play. It is our job to set the stage for age appropriate activities, – art, puzzles, manipulative toys, blocks, and dramatic play.
4's Classes (4 days or 5 days)
In our four year old program we provide exposure to the skills which are the foundation to be successful in kindergarten. Learning should be fun! We incorporate language development, vocabulary, science, critical thinking and listening skills, phonics, math and writing skills.
Transitional Kindergarten (5 days)
Some children need an extra year before heading to kindergarten, or some just need that more structured schedule and therefore they decide to do the TK program. This class is one that provides a comprehensive kIndergarten ready curriculum that meets the needs of a five year old! These students are writing, reading, doing basic math, beginning Spanish and so much more!

Each week, we take your children outdoors and we learn through nature. A nature story time and a nature project enable the children to learn through hands on experiences, exploration, curiosity and discovery. All students learn to work in our greenhouse as well as our raised beds.

We offer an after-school program Monday thru Thursday. You may choose two or four day options. Our after-school runs from 1:00-3:00pm. This is theme based fun curriculum without a lot of outdoor learning and play.

Bring your 3-6 year old for a summer of fun and adventure!
We offer 8 weekly themes and special activities such as scavenger hunts, summer safaris and nature walks that nurture your child's creativity in a warm, welcoming and playful atmosphere. Other hands-on activities include creative storytelling, arts and crafts, water play and gardening. We also offer a one week Winter Camp in December.

DVA has an amazing group of teachers. All lead teachers are certified and all assistant teachers have years of experience working with children. Our entire staff is CPR certified.

Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program (3-5 year olds at your school) with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children’s lives on and off the field through our best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication.

We offer a Parent's Night Out once a month for parents to have a night out. PNO is usually held on a Friday evening from 5:00-8:00pm at DVA.

For young learners, science is just an extension of their everyday world. We don't have to teach young children how to wonder, discover, and explore through play because they do it naturally. Each week, all classes visit our science center. All students get to explore and learn about science. We always have a weekly science experiment for the students to participate in.

DVA takes two field trips a year. This past October 2017, our school enjoyed visiting Zootastic and learning about all the fantastic animals. In May 2018, our school will visit Patterson Farms and learn about picking strawberries.

Each year DVA holds a Spring Fair to thank our families for all they do. It's a night of singing, games, pony rides, bounce house, food, face painting and much more! Save the date . . . Friday, April 27, 2018, 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
